Just to let you know that I'm working on Skerbu. His UVs has been created now experimenting with the material and SSS. The look of the skin should be something like sea-lion with transparency and texture. After fixing the mat I'll go for texturing ..... Here is a screenshot .
Any suggestive or criticism is always welcomed.

More Deatails

More details added. Now Skerbu has 3.5million polygon approx. Zbrush 4 has some robust features among which the most attractive to me is the Spotlight which I will use for detailing and texturing Skerbu.

Life is really dull without Zbrush.

Skerbu _ Updates details added

Now I've redesigned the head section , a horn will be added later . Extra flab of skin has been added at hands and the side of the Rib cage along with a tail to give it a marine creature like look. A little details has been added to design the skin.  The Texturing experiment was not satisfactory. Also the Fin at the back of Skerbu will be redesigned later when make time.
Hope you like this.

Skerbu _ Updates next

Added some muscle this time to Skerbu and changed its pose. I think it will be more interesting at this pose while composited on background. Now time to work on the face and head section. Will add more detail over there. Also change the look and shape of the Fin.
Simple screen shot with a matcap material. Will update more when make time .....

Skerbu _ Updates

I've added some tentacles and posed Skerbu which I think make him more interesting. Also started experimenting with Texturing. The texture is a 2k texture . I will create displacement , bump , diffuse, and specular map separately if make time to Render the low-res model in Maya later. For now I'll make the underwater marine background the home of Skerbu for compositing Skerbu.

Thinking about the Fin on his back and the tentacles which can be changed little more later. The color tone has been selected keeping mind that Skerbu is a marine creature.

Creation of Skerbu..... 3D Concept Art.

Long time passed ...
and I was busy with my daily schedule and deadlines. Now its the time to update my blog again. Nowadays I am working on creating an occeanic character named SKERBU who use to live inside a deep blue sea in its own world. Skerbu is bipedal but changed a little bit to accompanied himself to the marine world. I Love to play with my imagination always and enjoyed a lot while designing the Character. Skerbu is muscler but not so ferocious.... he eats small fishes and marine plants and always quarrel with other creatures ......

The base mesh of Skerbu has been created in Maya and imported to Zbrush for detailing. Here is the basic sketch of Skerbu created in Photoshop .Thinking to change its hands and fingers . And here is the unfinished model inside Zbrush .
Will upload the updates time to time.
Later I will export it back to Maya for animation .  For now I am not thinking about the workflow of texturing .
Will be glad to see the comments of the viewers and critics.
